Losing weight is about more than just diet and exercise. Your thoughts also shape your body. Yes, that's right! An additional component to losing weight is getting your mind right. Your mind is incredibly powerful and learning to use it properly will help you lose weight and keep it off for good.
I see my clients sabotage their current weight loss because deep down they believe they won’t be able to lose the weight or after they’ve reached their goal weight, they are consumed with worry that they won't be able to keep it off. This is what I call maintenance mind drama. These are sneaky self-sabotaging thoughts that you are often not aware of and it keeps you from your goal weight.
The mind drama never really ends, you just have to learn how to maintain it. The key is to turn these thoughts around or weight loss will always be a struggle. And so today I am introducing you to a tool that you can use to make changes in your subconscious mind to support your conscious goals.

So you decide to restart your weight loss journey. Your enthusiasm is palpable and this time you’re going to do whatever it takes to rid yourself of those excess pounds. It all goes well for the first few weeks and then your weight loss completely stalls. Some days you’re even gaining weight and you’re convinced that something has gone wrong. And then you have the thought that “Getting to my goal weight is taking soooooooooo long!” This is a statement that every one of my clients has said to me at least once. My response is usually, how long should weight loss really take? I know that we've been conditioned to believe that you should be losing 2 lbs every week and that is just not true.
The truth is as long as the number on the scale is gradually going down, don’t worry about how long it takes. For some people just losing 0.5lb a week will be a big deal. Life is about more than chasing numbers on a scale. Start living more intentionally, being active, eating mindfully and the weight will be easier to drop.

We all need time to relax and reinvigorate ourselves. Chances are you have a vacation coming up because it's peak travel season. I've been busy moving around session dates for a lot of my private clients because they're traveling -- going to fun places like Mexico and Disney and Jamaica. After a long period of not traveling because of the pandemic, we are ready to get out and see the world again.
For many of us, not only are we taking a vacation from our jobs and our businesses, but we are also taking a vacation from our healthy lifestyle. The problem is that when we think of vacation, we think of it as not just time to recharge and rest, we think of it as a time to indulge and eat and drink all the things.

While we all know that healthy eating, regular exercise, quality sleep, and ample water intake can all help us shed unwanted pounds. These are all actions.
