Can we really get hooked on sugar? The answer is yes, absolutely. Some people consume sugary foods in ways that aren't healthy, and even though it’s more of a habit than an actual addiction, it’s difficult to break the craving.
Most people will jump on a trendy sugar detox diet that promises to end the craving for sweets and help them lose weight. A sugar detox is effective because if you stop consuming sugar, you will lose weight but before you know it, you will gain the weight back since you hadn't completely healed your relationship with sugar. You simply created weight loss just by changing an action - consume no sugar.
I want to offer that there is a more sustainable, long-lasting option to recovering from your sugar “addiction”. Listen in to learn how.

Summer is right around the corner. In preparation, maybe you’ve decided to change your habits in the name of weight loss. Even with all of those habit changes, the numbers on the scale haven’t budged at all. What gives?
Many of us believe we know what we should be eating and doing every day to lose weight – we just can't get ourselves to do it consistently. I remember diligently tracking all my meals and exercise on My Fitness Pal, then looking back at my very lowest weight to see what I ate and thinking that if I could just eat the same thing that I ate the four weeks leading up to that low weight then I can lose that weight again.

Today we are diving into the third and final part of a 3 part series. In this series, I'm walking you through the progression of thinking of the LUXE Lifer who follows my 3 phase approach to weight loss as it specifically relates to thoughts about daily weight fluctuations. We discussed phase one, the Learn phase in EP. 93. Phase two, the Lose phase was covered in EP. 94 where we focused on how we begin to unpack all the beliefs that are holding us back from truly looking at the number on the scale as neutral data. And today we will cover phase three, the Live phase. This is where you've reached your forever weight and you are learning to live in your new body and you're now learning to create your maintenance mindset.
