What if you're doing everything right and still can't lose weight?
Stop. Dieting. Forever.™ is the weight loss podcast for women who are exhausted because they can't lose weight and keep it off. If you've tried every diet, nothing is working, and you're stuck in the same cycle, this show is for you.
Hosted by Jennifer Dent Brown, Certified Health and Life Coach with over a decade of experience coaching women since 2014, each episode gets to the real reason traditional weight loss strategies don't work and why mainstream weight loss programs don't want you to win.
You won't find cookie cutter weight loss advice here. Jennifer will introduce you to her identity-based weight loss methodology which has helped clients lose weight and keep it off.
Here’s the promise:
This podcast shows you how to stop thinking like a dieter so you can become the woman who naturally keeps the weight off.
Not through dieting.
Not through willpower.
Not through starting over.
Most weight loss advice starts with what to eat.
This starts with you.
Because your healthiest body doesn’t come from a better meal plan. It comes from learning how to regulate emotions without food, build consistency without perfection, and create habits that fit your real life.
Every Wednesday, Jennifer delivers structured, coaching-style teaching that tells you what most people won't. Expect real talk, real client stories, and the kind of honest perspective that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about your body and your habits. No fluff. No false hope. Just the truth about what's actually getting in your way.
Learn how to:
- Stop emotional eating and stress eating without relying on willpower
- Break the cycle of starting diets and stopping when nothing sticks
- End self-sabotage and yo-yo dieting for good
- Build consistency that doesn't depend on motivation
- Understand why your body stopped responding to what used to work
- Move past a weight loss plateau even when your labs are normal
- Become the woman who keeps the weight off
This approach supports women losing weight naturally and women using GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Zepbound. If you’re on a GLP-1 and still struggling with emotional eating or consistency, this podcast shows you how to build the mindset and habits medication doesn’t teach.
This isn’t about willpower.
It’s about identity, nervous system regulation, and simple daily practices that compound.
That’s what gets results.

You are doing everything right. The workouts. The high protein. The supplements. The intermittent fasting. And you still gained 20 pounds in perimenopause. If that sounds familiar, this episode is going to change how you see the problem.
In episode 301 of Stop. Dieting. Forever., I am breaking down why perimenopause weight gain is not a food problem, not a discipline problem, and not something your gynecologist is equipped to solve. I share a message from a high school classmate that captures exactly what so many women in menopause are experiencing, the research behind why the medical system has been looking at perimenopause through the wrong lens for decades, and why the missing piece is not another tactic. I also share my own story of navigating perimenopause weight gain with no real support until I found functional medicine and HRT.
This is episode three of the Why Nothing Is Working series.

If you know what to eat and still cannot stay consistent, this episode is for you. In Part 2 of the Why Nothing Is Working series, I am getting into the layer that no meal plan, fitness challenge, or nutritionist has ever addressed — and it is the one thing that will keep you stuck if it goes unaddressed in perimenopause and menopause.
I tell you about a recent consultation with a 57-year-old retired woman who has a personal trainer, a nutritionist, a life coach, and a solid routine Monday through Friday. She eats all the right things all week long. And then the weekend comes. She told me she just wants to let her hair down. She wants to relax. And when I asked her what else she did to relax besides eat and drink, she paused and said: nothing.
That is not a discipline problem. That is a nervous system problem. And in this episode I break down exactly why food becomes the only tool so many women in midlife use to manage how they feel — and why that pattern will outlast every plan you try until you address it at the root.

Part 1 - Why Nothing Is Working: 3 Steps to Start Losing Weight Again When Diet Culture and Birth Control Set Us Up to Struggle in Perimenopause

Wednesday May 13, 2026
Wednesday May 13, 2026
If you have been doing everything right and still cannot lose weight in perimenopause, this episode is the explanation you have been waiting for. I am breaking down the decades of food industry manipulation, hormonal birth control, cultural conditioning, and chronic stress that laid the metabolic foundation you are living with right now, and exactly why nothing has been working.
This is not a GLP-1 hit piece. I am GLP-1 neutral. But I am here to tell you that jumping to any intervention before you understand your own hormonal foundation is not the full picture, and your body will make that very clear.
I am also sharing three specific steps for how to start losing weight in perimenopause, and why the order you do them in matters more than the steps themselves.

If you've been telling yourself you'll get serious about weight loss once things slow down, this episode will name exactly what that's costing you. I'm breaking down why "I don't have the bandwidth" is one of the most expensive things busy women say about their health, and why the real problem has nothing to do with your calendar.
What You'll Learn in This Episode
- Why waiting for the right time to lose weight is a strategy for staying stuck, not a plan for moving forward
- The real difference between not having time and not having energy, and why confusing the two keeps the scale moving in the wrong direction
- Why the weight loss playbook you've relied on is running on a fuel source you no longer have
- How shifting your health from a project to a standard changes everything without adding a single thing to your schedule
- What your hormones and minerals actually have to do with why nothing is working the way it used to

EP 297. How To Lose Weight Again When Nothing Is Working
Wednesday Apr 15, 2026
Wednesday Apr 15, 2026
If you're exercising five days a week, eating mindfully, and the scale is barely moving — this episode on weight loss in perimenopause is the one you've been waiting for. I'm breaking down why the strategies that used to work have stopped working, and what your perimenopausal body actually needs right now to release weight again.
In this episode, I'm talking to the woman who is doing everything right and still not seeing results. Not because she's failing, but because she's using a strategy designed for a younger body.
What You'll Learn in This Episode
- Why "I'm older and this is just how it is" is not acceptance — it's an identity error that's quietly running your health decisions
- The role progesterone plays in weight loss (and why your doctor probably hasn't tested yours)
- Why chronic high-intensity exercise without proper recovery may be working against your results
- The one phrase to write on a Post-it and put on your mirror: Regulate Before You Restrict
- How dysregulated nervous systems keep your body in fat-storage mode and the simple steps to change that

EP 296. How to Stop Food Noise in Perimenopause (Without a GLP-1)
Wednesday Apr 08, 2026
Wednesday Apr 08, 2026
If you've been trying to stop food noise in perimenopause and nothing is working, this episode is going to change how you think about the problem.
Food noise is not a hunger problem. It is not a discipline problem. And it is not primarily a hormone problem. In this episode, I am breaking down the four-part filter I call The Root — the exact framework I use with my private clients to help them lose weight, quiet the food noise, and keep the results permanently. I walk you through every part of the filter, including what most programs completely skip, why GLP-1s alone will never be enough, and what one of my clients did to lose 22 pounds in perimenopause without medication.
If you are doing everything right and still not seeing results, this is the episode you have been waiting for.

EP 295. How to Stop Using Food as Your Best Friend & And Build the Real Thing
Wednesday Apr 01, 2026
Wednesday Apr 01, 2026
I used to think women came to me because they couldn't stop eating. What I've learned after a decade of coaching is that most of them were never hungry for food in the first place.
In this episode, I'm introducing a concept called the Friendship Gap — the space between the relationships you have and the ones that actually feed you. If you are over 40, busy, and reaching for food at the end of a long day, this episode will change the way you see your weight forever.

If you're a woman over 40 who eats well, tracks her food, and still can't lose weight, this episode will change the way you think about weight loss forever. The missing piece has nothing to do with your meal plan — and everything to do with primary food, the one thing the diet industry never talks about.
I'm Jennifer Dent Brown, identity-based weight loss coach for women over 40, and today I'm introducing you to the concept of primary food versus secondary food — and showing you exactly why feeding this first is what finally moves the scale.

If you want to stop stress snacking after work, this episode is going to change how you think about your evening cravings. I'm breaking down exactly why women over 40 can't stop reaching for food the moment the workday ends, and why stress snacking after 40 is not a willpower problem. It is a hormone problem and an identity problem, and I am giving you the fix.
In this episode I am walking you through something I call the After Work Transition Time. It is 15 minutes. It costs you nothing. And it is the one shift that can break the stress snacking cycle for good.
I also get into something nobody is talking about. Your cravings are actually giving you data. Whether you reach for sweet, salty, crunchy, or chocolate, each one is telling you something specific about what is happening in your hormones right now.
Plus I share a real client story. She was sneaking Girl Scout cookies downstairs after her daughters went to bed. Scale stuck for five weeks. One change. It started moving again.
If you are on a GLP-1, there is a section in this episode specifically for you.
